Christine Hall joined Aveda in 2013, and currently serves as the Vice President of Research & Development where she fosters her passion for creating new and disruptive products, as well as developing people. In her role at Aveda, Christine enjoys pairing her expertise in hair and skin care R&D along with forging new ways to help the brand uphold its commitment to offering natural, high-performance, and sustainable products. Christine believes her success relies on the strength of her incredible team, which covers all aspects of product creation. They explore the chemistry and biology of botanical ingredients with an emphasis on maximizing potency, potential benefits, and sustainable sourcing; they formulate new products using those botanicals and other plant-based ingredients to create high performance products; they create packages that marry sustainability and beauty; they test those products in technical, salon, and consumer tests; and they develop the most energy efficient processes possible to make those products. Christine has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Rutgers The State University of New Jersey. Research & Development has always been Christine’s passion. Prior to joining Aveda, Christine worked in hair care at Procter & Gamble, hair and body care at Kao Brands, OTC products at GOJO Industries, and food at ConAgra.
