This is the Privacy Policy for Cosmoprof North America (CPNA) and the CPNA websites and applications. The Organizer of CPNA is North American Beauty Events LLC (NABE), which is a joint venture between the Professional Beauty Association (PBA) and BolognaFiere US (Bologna Fiere) (the “Partners”). This Privacy Policy explains how NABE collects and processes the personal data you submit to NABE, the Partners and/or their related entities (collectively, the “Affiliates” or “we” or “us”) for purposes related to CPNA. We collect and process Personal Data on the grounds of legitimate business interest in connection with CPNA, this and other CPNA websites, applications, and the events, communications, and other services offered by or related to CPNA (collectively the “Services”).
By using any CPNA website or other Services, or otherwise submitting personal data to us, you consent to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use, including the way that we collect, use, and share your information, as described below. The personal data you submit to NABE or the Affiliates for purposes related to CPNA or the Services will be maintained and processed in compliance with this Privacy Policy and applicable laws.

NABE collects information from you in several ways, including when you provide it to us, such as when you register to attend a CPNA event, as an exhibitor or a visitor, or education session presented or hosted by NABE or an Affiliate, enter a CPNA competition sponsored or hosted by NABE or an Affiliate, sign up for email newsletters, comment on our social media, sign up or register for any Your employer may also provide us with your information if your employer registers you for a CPNA event or an education session presented or hosted by NABE or an Affiliate.
A. Kinds of Information we collect and process:
Your personal name, email address, mailing address, telephone number(s), employer, IP address, billing and payment information if you purchase goods or services from us, and other information that you provide to us or which we collect pursuant to your requests for and uses of the Services.
Photos, Videos at CPNA Events
Your image, voice, comments and/or name may be taken in photographs and videos at CPNA or other NABE events, as part of your submissions to us, through social media postings, or during videoconferencing or online events in which you participate.
Automated Information Collection
We may automatically collect certain information when you visit our websites, such as your IP address; details about your browser, operating system and device/hardware; the URL that referred you to our website; your activities on our website; and other logging information, including the date and time of your visit. We may use a variety of technologies for such data collection, including web logs, web beacons, clear GIFs, cookies, and others.

Please note that we may use “cookies” (or “locally shared objects”) – small data files that we transfer to your computer’s hard drive – to collect certain information about you and your use of our website. Some cookies are strictly necessary for our website to function properly. We use and process your personal information in order to provide you with the Services and to inform you about CPNA events, content, and related initiatives. In particular, we use your information for the following purposes:
a) to provide you with the Services, including CPNA or other events for which you register or request, and for administrative and accounting purposes;
b) to comply with our contractual obligations to the Affiliates and Third Parties, consistent with this Privacy Policy;
c) in order to conduct statistical surveys and market research; and
d) in order to allow NABE, the Partners and their Affiliates to send you emails and other communications with information and promotional communications about CPNA and the Services, as well as information and promotional emails and other marketing communications about products and services offered by the Partners, by the Affiliates and by our sponsors and advertising partners, which participate in the professional beauty and cosmetic industries sectors.
C. Legal Basis for Our Collection and Processing of Your Information
We rely on the following legal bases for the collection and processing of your personal data. These legal bases are primarily to enable us to provide the Services to you.
Legitimate Business Interests: To provide you with information relating to the Services, and to notify you about any changes to our website, such as improvements or service changes, that may affect our Services. If you previously attended or exhibited at a CPNA or NABE event, or received other Services from us, we may contact you with information about services similar to those we provided to you previously.
Performance of Contracts: To perform our contractual obligations to you and meet our contractual commitments.
User Consent: We may also request your consent to use your data so that you can be provided with information about services and products that may be of interest to you. We will follow applicable laws and regulations regarding your consent to receive this information.
Data Integrity and Limitation of Purpose: Our collection and use of personal information is limited to the information that is relevant for the purposes of processing. We take reasonable steps to ensure that personal data is relevant to and reliable for its intended use, and is accurate, complete, and current.
2. Information We Disclose or Transfer
We do not share your personal information with others except as described in this Policy. We do not sell your personal information. We disclose your personal data to the Affiliates and to Third Parties for their use as necessary to provide you with the Services and to administer the Services, or otherwise pursuant to your request or consent.
For example:
a) If you register for a CPNA event or Service, your contact and other information is provided to the Affiliates and third-party service providers or contractors as necessary to provide you with the Services you requested.
b) We provide your information to third-party service providers and Data Processors who provide data management or data processing services to us or the Affiliates in connection with providing the Services. For example, we may use third parties for event registration services, email or database management services, exhibitor services, fulfillment and delivery services, and other activities related to the Services you request. These third parties may have access to or process your personal information as necessary for them to provide their services to us.
Accountability for Onward Transfers of Personal Data: Any such third-party disclosures are subject to contracts requiring the service providers to maintain the confidentiality of such information. In addition, we limit such disclosure to the information that is necessary for them to perform their services to us, so that we can provide you with the Services you request.
c) If you choose to make your personally identifiable information publicly available through our platforms, apps, directories, or as part of participating in Services, such as social media comments or competitions, your personal contact information will be available to others.
d) We may provide your information as required to law enforcement or government agencies in order to comply with the law, or as part of legal proceedings, and/or as necessary to protect our or other’s rights, property or safety.
e) If the ownership or control of NABE, CPNA, or the Services, changes in whole or in part, we may transfer your information to the new owner or successor.
3. How We Protect Your Information
We use commercially reasonable data security technologies and safeguards to protect the personal information that we collect and process. We also require our Affiliates and Third-party service providers to protect the security of your personal information shared with them consistent with this Privacy Policy.
Please Note: NABE is located in the United States; the Cosmoprof North America trade show is held in Las Vegas NV, USA. The personal information that we or our Affiliates collect in connection with offering or providing the Services may be transferred to, and stored in, the United States, which may have different data protection laws than those in your country. If you provide or submit your information from outside the United States, especially from the EU or where applicable EU data protection laws, please be informed that we collect and process your Personal Data in compliance with the requirements of the GDPR. As applicable, we utilize the EU “Standard Contractual Clauses,” rely on the European Commission’s adequacy decisions about certain countries, and/or obtain your consent for such data transfers to the United States and other countries. It is our policy that the transfer of personal data from the European Union to non-EU countries shall be carried out in a manner such as to provide the appropriate guarantees pursuant to Articles 46, 47 or 49 of the GDPR.
4. How Long We Retain Your Information
We retain your personal information for only as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and processed. After that period, it will be deleted or anonymized. Where we have collected the personal information based on your consent and we have no other lawful basis to continue with that processing, if you subsequently withdraw your consent then we will delete your personal information.
Please note: if you register to attend or exhibit at CPNA or request any Services, we will continue to include your contact information in our database, to provide you information and promotional materials about CPNA or other communications relating to our Affiliates, sponsors and advertising partners, until such time as you opt-out of receiving any additional communications or otherwise withdraw your consent to receive such information.
5. Your Right to Change or Remove Your Personal Information
You have the right to:
- Withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal information;
- Access your personal information and ask that it be corrected, amended or deleted;
- Receive a copy of your personal information in our database;
- Object to our processing of your personal information, in which case we will comply with your request unless we demonstrate a compelling legitimate grounds for processing that overrides your rights; in such cases, you also have the right to instruct us to restrict the processing of your data pending our investigation and/or verification of your claim.
We intend to allow you to exercise the rights regarding your personal data under the laws that may be applicable to you and/or your data, including Articles 7 and 15-22 of the GDPR.

B. Privacy Policy Changes
We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes in our Services, changes in applicable laws, or as we may deem necessary or appropriate. We will post an updated version on our website. Your use of our website after the effective date stated on the Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the amended policy. We reserve the right to apply the amended terms to the information that we have already collected, subject to any legal constraints.
