Janelle Freeman
Freeman is a seasoned professional with over a decade in the beauty industry. As the Buyer for Beauty, she pioneered Net-A-Porter’s entry into the category. At Thirteen Lune, Freeman curated BIPOC brand assortments, propelling them into 600 JC Penney stores and various platforms. Freeman offers direct consultation to skin care, makeup, hair, and body care brands, fueling their domestic and international expansion.
With a deep understanding of multi-channel retail dynamics from mass-market to luxury segments, Freeman excels in pairing brands with ideal retail partners for maximum success.

Karen Young
Before opening The Young Group in 1999, Karen was Vice President of Marketing, Advertising and Product Development for Lancôme, the prestige division of L’Oréal. Before joining Lancôme, she spent seventeen years at Estée Lauder, where she held a variety of executive positions, including Executive Director of Color Cosmetics. Karen is an active board member of Fashion Group International. She is a certified personal trainer and nutritionist. Karen divides her time between New York and Paris, where The Young Group also has an office. Since opening The Young Group, Karen has worked extensively in all categories of the cosmetic industry. She has developed concepts and products for Dove, Bath and Body Works, Neutrogena, Vichy and Canyon Ranch. She has worked on numerous established brands in the beauty category, including Christian Dior Beauté, Shiseido, Chanel, Parfums Givenchy, Avon and 3M Products. Karen is an adjunct professor at The Fashion Institute of Technology, teaching the graduate course in product development.

Manessa Lormejuste
Manessa Lormejuste is a beauty scientist and product developer, blending her passion and scientific expertise to create products that truly make a difference. Manessa has held roles at leading companies such as L’Oréal USA, Beautycounter, and Farmacy Beauty. She started her career as a formulation chemist, working on award-winning hair color, hair care, and skin care products. Recently, Manessa established her own consulting firm, LORM·CO, in 2024 to continue delivering science-backed innovative products for a selected group of brands and founders. Manessa earned a Bachelor of Arts in Chemical Biology and a Master of Business & Science in Personal Care from Rutgers University, forming the bedrock of her educational foundation. She is also the scientific advisor for MMARA, a budding #beautytech company aspiring to be a digital hair concierge for textured hair users. Notably, Manessa is regarded as a LinkedIn Top Voice in Beauty and was named a 2024 Top 30 Beauty Product Developer by Beauty Independent.

Maria Torres
Maria Torres is a highly respected beauty expert within several facets of the beauty world which includes fragrance, skincare and makeup. As a Latina entrepreneur, Ms. Torres’ company represented and distributed such brands as Gianni Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Moschino, Loewe, Blumarine, Dsquared, Pink Sugar, ALOF and Swiss Bellefontaine. Ms. Torres’ work ethic and passion for all things “Beauty” has given her an unparalleled track record in all areas of developing brands for the US market as well as maintaining strong partnerships in Europe and other parts of the world.

Nicole Musco
Musco, the Director of Global Product Development at Jane Iredale, is a passionate beauty enthusiast with over 15 years in the industry developing innovative products for iconic brands such as L’Oréal, Avon, and Revlon. With a strong strategic focus on new product development, Musco has centered her career around translating ingredient and macro trends into products that resonate with both brands and consumers. As a self-described beauty junkie, she is a perfect fit to coach your brand.

Thomas Hammond
Thomas Hammond is the Sr. Director of Global Package Development and Engineering at Revlon overseeing global Skincare, Fragrance, Promotions, Deodorant, Design to Value, and Change Management. In this role, he is responsible for end to end execution from ideation to manufacturing and production. He has traveled domestically and internationally for functional packaging line trials, custom tool development, and innovation trade shows. With those experiences, he has been able to sharpen his skill set, cultivating himself for a future in the cosmetic industry. Thomas has a Masters in Cosmetic and Fragrance Marketing and Management from FIT and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island.
